Escola Europea – Intermodal Transport is a European benchmark training and consultancy center specialized in logistics and intermodal transport.
The Escola promotes a sustainable model in transport management, focusing its activities on two main areas: training and consulting.
In the area of training, it offers immersive and highly practical educational experiences in maritime and rail intermodal transport. Its flagship courses include the Motorways of the Sea Training (MOST) and SURCO (Simple Use of Railway Connections), which allow participants to experience real-life operations onboard vessels and trains, and explore key port and logistics infrastructures.
The Escola’s training portfolio also includes specialized courses on groupage and consolidation centers, temperature-controlled supply chains, port operations, customs, energy transition, and—more recently—artificial intelligence applied to port logistics, developed in collaboration with the Port of Barcelona’s working group on employment and training.
One of its most innovative tools is the Port Virtual Lab (PVL), a digital simulator of port-logistics communities that enables users to practice international trade operations through interactive exercises. Thanks to its practical and flexible format, PVL has been integrated into university programs across Europe, Africa, and the Americas.
In the field of consulting, the Escola participates in strategic international projects that promote intermodality. It is currently involved in Green Marine Med, a project co-financed by the European Union to support the ecological transition of maritime and port transport in the Mediterranean.
