Placenet Internet of Places SL is an innovative company with a global digital infrastructure based on the concept of the Internet of Places (IoP). We start from the premise that every connected space, person and object (IoT) has two distinct dimensions: the physical dimension and the digital dimension. However, these dimensions have traditionally remained disconnected.
Through the Internet of Places, we introduce the concept of the digital dimension of places, associating them with their physical dimension through a digital polygon whose vertices coincide with their geographical coordinates. Thus, every existing connected space, person or object has its own digital dimension that can be explored with a mobile phone. The union of each of the digital dimensions forms an intelligent digital infrastructure.
