E2 COFELVRING

We are the founding core of the E2COFELVRING project, which aims to implement the first metropolitan logistics distribution ring of the last 50 miles. We propose to apply it in the Metropolitan Region of Barcelona in gradual phases, and to extend it to Spain and Europe in similar environments. This new distribution system will solve (I) the decarbonization of logistics transport, (II) the economic impulse and (III) door-to-door logistics deliveries for the industry and HUB-to-HUB for towns and cities. This comprehensive freight transport solution is capable of making E2E (door-to-door) on-demand deliveries to the industry, with punctuality to the minute and with costs at 1/3 of the current ones.
After a phase of confirmation of the impact of the project and its monetary and social return, the technology development and feasibility, the pre-engineering of the infrastructure and the corresponding MVP, we will go on to found the Consortium Project Management that will implement and operate the ring, with the participation of public and private companies.
With a 90 km underground ring and 20 ports (HUBs), it feeds an environment where space and time are irrelevant. The Ring will be the blood circulatory system that feeds the city and its metropolitan environment, its populations and its industry, without invading the Biosphere. 4,000 carriers (2m x 2m x 5m) travel the ring in non-stop mode, feeding it 24 hours a day with punctual deliveries in less than 1 hour. Operating "CO2-free" eliminates traffic from the road network, both peripheral and at the entrance to cities, feeding the HUBs for the distribution of the last mile.
In addition, it will make it possible to outsource, relocate or expand logistics and industrial spaces by making new well-connected spaces accessible at competitive prices, and allowing more automation of the industry thanks to a real "just in time".
E2COFELVRING in a new, greener and more humane world; it is the solution that Europe needs.
