Terminal Combiconnect Barcelona: A New Strategic Hub for Intermodality
HUPAC INTERMODAL
The Terminal Combiconnect, located in La Llagosta, 15 km from Barcelona, is a high-capacity logistics center designed for intermodal traffic, with optimal connections to highways and railways. Operated by the UTE Combiconnect (Hupac Ibérica and TP Nova Rail Services & Logistics), the terminal will manage European combined transport flows, connecting the Port of Barcelona, the Iberian Peninsula, Europe, and North Africa. With a rail gateway model, it will feature a mixed-gauge connection and access to the AVE high-speed network. It is scheduled to open in January 2026 on a 105,000 m² area. Key infrastructures include 2 gantry cranes, 4 750-meter loading and unloading tracks, and 1 parking track. Additionally, it will offer complementary services such as parking areas, weighing systems, cleaning, and last-mile distribution. The terminal aims to become the leading intermodal hub of the Iberian Peninsula, focusing on modern, sustainable infrastructure.
