With the so-called SWS-PowerBox®, an autonomous energy supply is guaranteed in an electrified wagon. A hydraulic pump and generator mounted on the axle of the wagon convert kinetic energy into electrical energy, which is used to power the temperature control units and charge the battery. This makes it possible to keep the goods at the optimum temperature while being transported by rail in refrigerated containers, swap bodies, tank containers or refrigerated semi-trailers. In this way, at VTG Rail Europe, we try to respond to the needs of customers and the demand for new transport models.
