The Government of Catalonia participates in the SIL through the Ministry of Territory and its companies. In the SIL stand, CIMALSA has a prominent position: it is a public company in charge of the promotion, development and management of infrastructures and plants for freight transport and logistics. Its mission is to offer transport and logistics sectors the best locations for their competitiveness. CIMALSA also contribute to other infrastructures with public participation in Catalonia, such as the road network, ports, logistics activity areas, airports or railways. Incasòl, a special urban development body of the Catalan Government in the field of planning and management of the public patrimony of land and housing, is also present in the stand. Finally, Ports de la Generalitat, the Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia, FGC (Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat), and Aeroports de Catalunya are also in at the stand because part of their activities are related to logistics: management of commercial ports, freight transportation and building and management of airport infrastructures.
The Ministry of Territory, in coordination with its public sector, is responsible for territorial policy and planning and town planning; land and housing policies (including planning and building rehabilitation in urban and rural areas); management of public housing estate; regulation of quality controls of the building processes and products; architecture and urban improvement policies; public works and infrastructure; roads, railways, ports and airports; public transportation; mountain and coastal policies and the promotion of the Urban Agenda of Catalonia.
