The need to improve in territorial efficiency and environmental sustainability through the multimodal strategy provides a particular scene to combine elements such as infrastructure, rolling stocks and the final consumer needs, the shippers, from a logistics, multimodal, multiproduct and multiclient approach. How is co-modality seen by the different sectorial agents? What is the shippers’ point of view? These two questions become the base of the Quo Vadis of Goods conferences that, from the Railgrup’s Logistics Multimodal Group and in coordination with the Multimodal Services Committee of Generalitat de Catalunya and CETM-Multimodal, encourage an open debate and a sectorial analysis to get to know in deep the goods transport industry and to anticipate its needs and strategic requirements from a multimodal perspective, as well as encouraging participation and experience exchange in common problems identification, new business models promotion, functional and commercial analysis of new multimodal services, promotion of development and introduction in the adapted technologies market, and the definition and coordination of the different linked actuations.
